Bettwen these two tremendously strong dragon types, one of the pokemon verse and the other one from Yugioh, which do you think would win?

This isn't much of a contest really. Look at things from a mechanical perspective, Rayquaza's defense, HP, and special defense combined don't even reach 2,000(It's 916 at max, which isn't even possible since you can only EV 2 stats) and Slifer's second mouth ability kills anything with 2,000 or less defense soooooooooo yeah, Rayquaza is f***ed. Now mechanics aside, Slifer is a god, Rayquaza is not. I think it's pretty safe to assume using anime/manga logic that a god would be superior to mortal dragon. |

Oh I see what you mean, by the way that's slifer a real monster, not the card but the monster from the last season of yugioh which everything is real. Wouldn't Rayqouaza be far superior at speed however? |

Speed isn't a factor when it comes to Yugioh cards so I don't know. I don't think that would matter in the grand scheme of things though. |

My point was that Slifers best feats were to bust a city or something like that, Rayquaza on the other hand is capable of the same think and he's also much faster. Also counting Pokemon Mystery Dungeon he blow up a meteor, so I think speed does matter a lot. |

Osiris stomps Rayquaza. The meteor buster Rayquaza used wiped out all his energy and put him to sleep so if he tires to go for that and Osiris dodges it's game over. |

A meteor that could wipe out the entire world however, Slifers best feat is city busting at most considering even Zork had trouble to do that. |

YGO monsters aren't really concerned with blowing up the planet. They're all more interested in ruling it, especially in the case of Zorc. Just pointing that out. I'd have to go with Slifer as well for the reasons mentioned above, plus as far as I know, he's also got size to his advantage. |

Slifer definitely has size advantage. Rayquaza is only 23 feet tall. Slifer is well.... at least worth several skyscrapers. |

Even if they are not concerned about it, Zork actually had trouble to ruin a city, anime wise however he moved the moon via telekinesis but that's non canon, manga one is barely city level, and Zork>Slifer
Lol true, Slifer is gigantic but size doesn't matter in a fight when the other one is superior(just pointing out ) |

Slifer takes it. Yu-Gi-Oh monsters have amazing attack/defense stats compared to Pokémon. And yeah, Slifer is HUGE, he pretty much dwarfs Rayquaza. Spoiler: click to toggle

An Egyptian God verses a legendary? Mmm, that'd be one heck of a fight. But Slifer takes this in my view. Without even using its abilities it could coil around Rayquaza and do damage that way. |

Stats don't really matter here, this is the actual monster that was shown in the dawn of the dual arc not the card game, although mechanics wise Sliger oneshots Rayqouaza. We can use mystery dungeon rayquaza if this is such a mismatch lol, I was expecting everyone to say rayquaza wins. |

you also have to take into account that yu-gi-oh and pokemon aren't using the same measuring system for their stats. unless you think even kuriboh can overpower 3/4 of the pokemon universe, which is ridiculous. so slifer's "can destroy anything with less than 2,000 defense" means 2,000 YGH defense, not 2,000 pokemon defense. |

list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god | |

I don't see a difference with Rayquaza from Mystery Dungeon. He's still the same size, is he not? Are his abilities stronger in that game? Regardless, I can't see a 23-foot green snake fending off a gargantuan god-dragon. |
